How to send a WhatsApp Business API template with variables to Bitrix24

Before sending a template, check that you have your WhatsApp Business API channel connected and templates with variables created. When you are sure that everything is ready, follow the procedure:

How to send a template from Bitrix24 open channels

1) Log in to Bitrix24.

2) Make sure you have WhatsApp Business API connected to your connector settings.

3) Go to the deal or contact card.

4) Click the "ChatApp" button in the card.

5) Click on the WhatsApp Business API icon. If the icon is missing, it means the client doesn't have WhatsApp or you haven't enabled WABA in the connector settings. 

6) In the opened window, click "Reply".

7) In the message entry box, click on theicon.

8) In the drop-down window, click on "ChatApp — WABA templates".

9) Select the template with variables.

10) Enter your values in the input boxes and click "Submit".

How to use templates with variables in Bitrix24 automation rules

1) Log in to Bitrix24.

2) Make sure you have WhatsApp Business API connected in the connector settings.

3) Click "CRM" in the menu on the left.

4) Go to the "Deals" tab and click on "Automation rules".

5) Click on the "+" in the funnel stage where you want to add the Automation Rule.

6) In the opened window, find "[ChatApp for WhatsApp, Telegram, Viber] Send Template Message" and click "Add".

7) Close the pop-up window.

8) An automation rule card will appear in the funnel stage. There, click on "Change".

9) In the "Phone" field, enter {{Contact: Phone (text)}}, so that when the card is in this stage, the automation rule will send a message to the contact number specified in the card. 

10) Select the ChatApp line in the Licence field.

11) Select the template with variables. 

12) Fill in the variables of the template.

The automation rule can substitute data from the card into the variables. To configure the field from which the automation rule will take information for the message, click "...". For example, if you write {{Contact: Name}}, the automation rule will put into the template the name from the contact indicated in the card. 

13) Click on "Save".

Done! Now, when the deal is at this stage, the automation rule will send the template from the WhatsApp Business API to the client.
