How to write first from a single web chat to a WhatsApp user
A single chat ChatApp WEB allows you to start a dialogue with a WhatsApp user by his phone number. There are two channels available for communication: WhatsApp Chat-API and WhatsApp Business API.
How to write first in WhatsApp
1️⃣ Open a web chat and select a WhatsApp channel
Go to your ChatApp Personal Account and click on the "Open Chat" button in the sidebar. Select WhatsAppfrom the list, and then select the license with which the messenger will be used.
2️⃣ Add a new contact and send a message
Click on the “+” (Add contact) button and then enter the phone number of the WhatsApp user.
Enter the message with which you want to start the conversation in the field under the phone number and click on the "Continue" button.
The message will be sent to the specified contact.
If the user's phone number is not registered with WhatsApp, or the allowed limit for adding new contacts has been exceeded, you will receive a notification about this.
Before sending a message, you can check the ability to contact the WhatsApp user by phone number by clicking on the “Check number” button (Red handset).
How to write first in WhatsApp Business API
1️⃣ Open a web chat and select a WhatsApp Business API channel
Go to your ChatApp Personal Account and click on the "Open Chat" button in the sidebar. Select WhatsApp Business API from the list, and then select the license with which the messenger will be used.
2️⃣ Check the contact's phone number
To get started, enter the phone number of the user in the search bar to check if there has already been a conversation with this user.
3️⃣ Add a new contact
Click on the “+” (Add Contact) button to select a message template and then enter a phone number.
4️⃣ Choose a template
Since you can only start a conversation with a user in the WhatsApp Business API with a template message, you must select this template.
If the templates are not in the list, then they need to be created in the channel settings.
5️⃣ Send a message
After choosing a template, enter the phone number of the user to whom this template will be sent and click on the “Submit” button.
In the WhatsApp Business API, conversations per user are charged within a 24-hour window if the limit of 1000 sessions per month is exceeded.
Businesses start conversations in the WhatsApp Business API only with a template message, which must be composed and sent for moderation on their own.
