How to start a dialog with a client first in messenger or CRM system

Write first in ChatApp Dialog

ChatApp Dialog is a tool that combines all dialogs and requests in single window. Read more in the article - "Channels in single window"

Make sure the messenger is connected to the line:

Whatsapp web connection

Write in WhatsApp WEB

1. Go to ChatApp Dialog and sign in to your account.

2. Press on the icon and select «Add a contact».

3. On the right side of the «Add a contact» window, in the messengers field, select WhatsAppWeb.

4. In the "Account" field, select the line, and in the "Owner" field, select the employee to whom the dialog with the user will be attached.

5. Enter the contact's phone number. Change or leave a welcome message.

6. Click start a dialog.

Notes

If the user's phone number is not registered with WhatsApp, or if the limit for adding new contacts has been exceeded, you will receive a notification about this.

Write to WhatsApp Business API (WABA)

Check your connection to WABA.

1. Go to ChatApp Dialog and sign in to your account.

2. Click the icon  and select Add contact.

3. In the messenger selection bar, select WhatsApp (GupShup).

4. Select a line in the field of the same name.

5. In the Responsible field, select the employee to whom the dialog with the user will be attached. If desired, you can leave the responsible person unselected.

6. Enter the user's phone number and click on the "Choose template" button.


7. Select the desired template. If there are variables present, fill them in. Click "Continue."


8. Click send.

In the WhatsApp Business API, conversations per user are charged within a 24-hour window.

Write first in Telegram

Check the connection to Telegram

There are three ways to send a message to Telegram:

  • By @username - the username displayed in the profile. Always displayed.
  • By user ID - a digital code assigned by the Telegram system. Not displayed publicly.
  • By Phone Number - the number that each user has. May be hidden by Privacy Settings. If the number is hidden, then it will be impossible to find such a user by his phone number without knowing his @username.

What if the phone number is hidden?

The best option, in this case, is to use the @username. Unlike a phone number, @username cannot be hidden and is always available.

1. Go to ChatApp Dialog and sign in to your account.

2. Click the icon and select “Add contact”.

3. In the "Add dialog" window, in the "Messengers" field, select Telegram Personal.

4. In the "Line" field, select the line, and in the "Responsible" field, select the employee to whom the dialog with the user will be attached. Click "Continue".

5. Enter the contact's phone number, ChatID, @Username, or import the contact from a connected line.

6. Click “Accept”.

New dialog from messenger contacts or CRM

A dialogue in chat.chatapp.online can be started from the contact list in your messenger or from CRM contacts.

How to add a contact?

1. Click above the dialogs and select “Add dialog”.

2. In the "Add dialog" window, in the "Messengers" field, select the messenger.

3. In the "Line" field, select the line, and in the "Responsible" field, select the employee to whom the dialog with the user will be attached. Click "Continue".

4. Select the communication channel from which you want to import the contact - Whatsapp/ Telegram or CRM.

5. Write a welcome message or leave the field blank. Click "Apply".

How to write to contacts from WhatsApp, Telegram messengers?

  • If you click on the WhatsApp or Telegram button, a list of contacts from these messengers will open. Available messengers will be displayed in the Import contact section
  • Find a contact through the messenger contact list

How to write to contacts from CRM?

When adding a contact under a phone number, select the CRM you want to upload the contact from. Available CRMs will be displayed in the Contact Import section:

Check connections:

Let's see an example - to write first from Bitrix24 in WhatsApp to the user from the created deal:

1. In the deal/lead card, go to ChatApp:

2. If WhatsApp is connected to the line, the button will be active - press the WhatsApp icon. You can open a dialog with a client in ChatApp Dialog by pressing.

3. Click "Reply" and be the first to start a dialogue:

1. Go to a contact card or create a new one.

2. Click “edit” button.

3. Click "Add" and enter the client's @username. Select Telegram from the list on the right.

4. Go to the ChatApp tab and click on the Telegram icon. You can open a dialog with a client in ChatApp Dialog by pressing.

Important! Bitrix24 is not able to search for connections by @username from the “Messenger” field.
You can bypass this limitation in the following way:

  • Enter @username in the email field in the following format: “username@telegram.chatapp.online”;
  • In the Telegram connector, enable the option “Exclude CRM duplicates” - “For username”.

After that, the system will use the email field.

1. Make sure that the client's contact details are entered in the CRM card;

2. Go to the "Deals" section, and then select the desired deal;

3. In the transaction card, select a channel (license), and then select a messenger for communication;

4. In the text field, you will be able to write and reply to messages directly from the amoCRM platform.

Notes

The messenger icon is active if this contact is added to the CRM card, and the messenger channel is activated in the ChatApp license. If the messenger icon is displayed in gray, then it is not possible to use this messenger.

Write first to a client by @username in Telegram

There are three ways to send a message to Telegram:

  • By phone number - for all messengers.
  • By @username, if the Telegram messenger is used for communication. Add @username to the Work Phone field.
  • By user ID - a digital code assigned by the Telegram system. Not displayed publicly.
     

Write first from YCLIENTS

1. Install and configure ChatApp integration

2. Go to the Clients tab in the left side menu and select “Client Base”

3. Select a client in the opened card, and select Send a message.

4. In Send method menu select SMS, enter the text of the message, and press send.

With the help of ChatApp integration, the SMS sending method sends a message to the messengers associated with phone number.

In the ChatApp integration settings, you can change the priority messenger where messages will be delivered. The first messenger on the list has the highest priority.
